Martin Beable, fleet director of Arriva UK’s trains bid team, is set to join Greater Anglia in March as the new engineering director.
Martin, who replaces former engineering director Colin Dobson, will oversee the maintenance, professional engineering and safe, efficient operation of Greater Anglia’s fleet of trains.
He has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and was previously fleet director at London Overground and rail operations and fleet production manager at Chiltern Railways.
Greater Anglia’s managing director Jamie Burles said: “It’s an exciting time as we start to introduce our brand new fleet of trains and Martin’s experience will help our fleet and depot teams rise to these new challenges as we continue to strive to provide punctual, reliable services to our passengers.”
