4 London railway stations as you’ve never seen them before

Network Rail has been flying high in the sky taking birds eye shots of track in London.

In August, major improvement work will take place in the capital with ‘significantly fewer’ trains coming in. Network Rail will continue to re-build London Bridge station and the surrounding railway, and its helicopter has been out surveying the tracks – and taking snaps of stations – ahead of the engineering work taking place.

Network Rail’s Thameslink programme director Simon Blanchflower said, ‘As these remarkable photographs show, we are making huge progress at and around London Bridge to transform the railway for passengers, as part of our Railway Upgrade Plan.’
