Greater Anglia appoints integrated transport manager

Operator Greater Anglia has appointed its first-ever integrated transport manager.

Paul Wilkinson, Colchester Borough Council’s former transport policy manager, joins the company to help make customers’ journey’s easier to and from stations.

His role will cover station cycle parking, better connections between trains and buses, joint ticketing and better information and signs, as well as marketing and promotion of onward-journey opportunities.

He will be looking to work especially closely with local authorities on joint initiatives to improve access to and from stations. He will also lead a new Greater Anglia Integrated Transport Forum.

Greater Anglia’s head of corporate affairs Jonathan Denby said: “Paul brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this role and we are thrilled to have him on board.

“We are committed to making people’s lives a little easier when getting to and from the station, whether they choose to walk, cycle, catch the bus or drive.”
