Rail freight operator DB Cargo UK has appointed two new directors to the company’s board.
Dirk Nolte has been appointed to the position of chief operating officer and Roger Neary, who has spent 25-years at DB Cargo UK and its predecessorss DB Schenker, EWS and British Rail, is now head of sales.
In 2017, DB Cargo UK introduced a new operating model and underwent a major organisational restructure.

CEO Hans-Georg Werner said: “We have emerged from last year’s restructure a more efficient and resilient company and Dirk and Roger will have a pivotal role to play in maximising the benefits of the changes we have introduced.
“I took on the additional roles of head of production and head of sales during the restructure, which was a very difficult time for the business.
“However, we have now stabilised our operations and customer confidence is returning, so now is the ideal time to hand over the reins.”
